A Review Meeting of the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) for the North Eastern States was held in Hotel Pinewood, Shillong from 23-25 August 2017. The meeting was inaugurated by Shri Sanjeeva Kumar, IAS, Additional Secretary & DG, NACO in the presence of Shri PW Ingty, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, Shri HM Shangpliang, IAS, Secretary & MD, Department of Health, Government of Meghalaya, Dr. RE Donn, Project Director, Meghalaya State AIDS Control Society, Dr Ryan Mc Gee, Deputy Director, CDC India, Dr. Bitra George, Country Directoir, FHI360, Shri Barry L Kharmalki, Community Representative, Meghalaya and Ms Binita Barman, Community Representative, Assam.

The Epidemiological Fact-sheet: Volume I on North Eastern States and the Assessment of Blood Banks report were also released during the meeting. All Project Directors of the NE states, SACS representatives, community members and NACO officers participated during the 3 day review meeting.
