NACO has initiated a project to link all the PLHIV to the Aadhaar Card. This linkage with Aadhaar no. will help PLHIV to access the benefits being provided under Central and State Government's, Health, Financial assistance and Social sector schemes. It will obviate the need for periodic submission of life certificates by the patients and allow remittance of financial benefits directly to their bank accounts. Currently this project is being piloted in Delhi and will then be further scaled up to entire country in a phased approach. All registered patients at ART Centres in Delhi are requested to update their Aadhaar Card Details.
